The Dripping Springs Church of Christ are a people, called out of the world by the gospel. We are your neighbors, your friends, your family members and your customers. We are people, young, old and in-between, who want to be the church Jesus said He would build (Matthew 16:18). To do this we are following the blueprints revealed in the New Testament. We realize we are far from perfect, and we make mistakes more often than we should, and we don’t ask you to follow us, but to go with us as we follow the steps of Jesus and seek to “walk in the light” (1 John l:7). We strive our best to practice pre-denominational Christianity. More than anything, our goal is to exalt and glorify Jesus Christ in all that we do; in our individual lives, our families, our community, our nation and our world (Ephesians 3:20-21).
Because we love Jesus we are committed to faithfully following His teaching. We belive that He is the final authroity in everything: in worship (John 4:23-24), in morality (Matthew 5-7), in salvation (John 8:24; Luke 13:3; Matthew 28:19-20), in the church (Matthew 16:18), even in our marriages (Matthew 5:31-32). The word that sactifies us is the word that sustains us as a people; it creates the perimeters by which we can gain and grow a substantive relationship with the Godhead (2 John 9).
As disciples of Christ, we were purchased by the blood of Jesus through the great grace of our God (Acts 20:28). Through His sinless sacrifice we were redeemed and justified by the divine transaction at Calvary. We gain access to the benefits of His atoning grace by placing our faith in Him (John 3:16), repenting of our sins (Luke 13:3) confessing His majestic name (Romans 10:9-10) and being baptized for the fogiveness of our sins (Acts 2:38). thereby God adds us to His kingdom, His church (Acts 2:27).
We desperately want others to receive Jesus because we recognize how much we need Him. That desire drives us to spread the gospel of Christ to our families, neighbors, community, and world so that all can partake in the benefits of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen (Romans 11:36).
