Youth Ministry

The Dripping Springs church of Christ has a wonderful group of young people.

Our goal is that young people (grades 6th-12th) will establish a faith they can call their own and grow in their relationship with God.  The youth ministry strives to fulfill this goal through small groups, devotionals, mission trips, retreats, and social activities.  We would love to have you join us for any activity.  Come experience Christ and grow in your own spiritual walk.

DSYouth provides a place where youth can belong, are challenged to grow in their faith, discover who they are in Christ, and serve alongside one another.

We're convinced that there's nothing more exciting or satisfying than following Jesus every day of our lives.  We want teenagers to experience the peace, purpose, and joy that comes from being forgiven and set free to love God and serve him with all their hearts. We have a team of committed, caring adults who want to help you grow spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and socially.

The DSYouth groups have regular devotional studies in members' homes or at the church building.  These "devos" involve a meal, fun group activities and a brief Bible study.  And a lot of beautiful, uplifting singing!

Discipleship University is a youth conference hosted by the Dripping Springs Church of Christ in Dripping Springs, Tx every summer. This year's dates are August 4-6 and our theme is “Encountering Christ: Experience the Majesty Jesus.” Our desire is that our young people walk away fully comprehending the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ. DU is meant to equip, engage, and encourage young people from middle school to high school on every level. We pray that you will join us.

Friends in Faith

At the church in Dripping Springs our desire for our young people is that they grow in faith, love, grace, knowledge, and character. We want them to know Jesus and His people. We try our best to be a community of faith that supports and values our children. We also believe that an important part of growing the faith of the next generation is by helping our youth form substantive, Christian friendships.

One of the avenues we offer in order to facilitate this is through “Friends in Faith.” Every Wednesday at 6:00pm our youth (grades 6th-12th) meet before Bible class for a meal and a fun activity/service project. This period gives our kids a chance to hangout and enjoy time together before they study God’s word. Friends in Faith is also meant to be a bridge into our community in which our children can invite visitors from their school and neighborhood. The congregation at Dripping Springs dedicates time and money into Friends in Faith by providing and preparing meals every Wednesday during the school year. We look forward to the great things God will do through this effort. Please feel free to join us every Wednesday and bring as many friends as you can!

Lads to Leaders

Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes is a tool used by the church in Dripping Springs to provide an effective year-round, Bible-based youth leadership program for our students from Kindergarten through College.  We utilize this tool to equip our young people with the knowledge and skills to become Bible school teachers, personal workers and effective speakers. These youth can then take these talents into communities in need of Christ, even before they graduate from high school. L2L offers a variety of activities including but not limited to:

Bible Bowl

Centurion of Scripture

Year Round Bible Reading

Speech

Song Leading

Songs of Praise

Teach to Teach

Know the Books

Good Samaritan

Puppeteering

Second Language

Year Round Bulletin Board

Year Round Power point

Mass Media

Song Composition

Art/Photography

Debate

Scrapbooking

Though many congregations with the L2L program enjoy a more than 90% retention rate of their young people, it is a program that goes beyond helping churches keep their youth faithful to the Lord. This is not just a youth program.  It is a congregational program. Using the Bible standard of the old teaching the young, adult mentors assist the youth in training in various areas such as scripture memorization, Bible reading, speech preparation and presentation, debate, Bible bowl and song leading. This gets the entire congregation involved and brings about a spirit of unity. L2L also provides an avenue through which young people can be motivated to become responsible Christian leaders in the home, church, school and community.

Start preparing your young people today to become great leaders!
