Who We Are

God Has Called You
Every Christian enjoys a special relationship with God and is called to the task of ministering to God and his people.  The life of the Christian should reflect the holy calling by which they are called.  It begins with a hearing of the gospel, which produces faith in us, and the realization of our estrangement with God.  Through the gospel all are called to participate in and enjoy the abundant blessings found in Christ Jesus and to live a life of holiness which involves our ministry to others.

As Christians we have been called to Love God and others (Mark 12:30-31). Each day our goal should be to serve Him, and to reach others with the gospel of Christ (Luke 9:23Mark 16:15). Because of God’s goodness, we seek to love and minister (serve) to our friends, brethren, and enemies (John 15:12-13Gal. 5:13-15Matt. 5:42-48), and we seek to be like Christ in all we do and say (Peter 2:21). His life was all about serving (Matt. 20:28), and his followers must likewise seek to busy themselves in helping others with their physical and spiritual needs.  Because we are to “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others” (Phil. 2:4), we have designed and implemented a course of work that will allow every member the opportunity to serve his or her fellow man, and likewise be served and encouraged by fellow members in the family of God.

No Matter Who You Are
At the Dripping Springs Church of Christ there is a place for you.  Whether you are young or old, married or single, a new or older Christian, there are numerous things you can do to influence others for the cause of Christ. You have something to offer. YOU have the power to influence others.

No Matter Where You Are
No matter where you are YOU can help others with their struggles and concerns. Perhaps you are lying in a hospital bed, busy at work, struggling with a family crisis, alone for the first time, or busy raising a family, you have within your reach the power to make a difference in the lives of others. Through prayer, or words of encouragement, an act of kindness, in leading a Bible study, or by perhaps doing all four, you can help others to grow closer to God.

No Matter What You Might Think
With God working in us to create both the desire and power to do His will (Phil. 2:13), we can accomplish great things. When we pray (James 5:16), when we plant, and when we water, God will give the increase (1 Cor. 3:7). Together, all of us can minister to God, one another, and to the world. Together we can bring about positive change within ourselves and the world. Please let us know if we can minister to you in some way or if we can assist you in ministering to others in any of the following ministries of the Dripping Springs Church of Christ.
